CIS team forZe and EU Representative Guild were lost their today’s match and eliminated from VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, losing all chances for spots for Masters in Berlin.

 

forZe vs.Team Liquid

 

forZe started pretty well on the first map, won the first two rounds, but then they lost the initiative, allowed Team Liquid to win the first half 8:4. On the second half, ScreaM and co finished the job, took victory with score 13:7. Equal game continued on the Breeze, where Team Liquid had a streak of five victories in a row. In match against forZe, they managed to continue their winning series on Breeze. Team Liquid leading in the score whole map, and when forZe managed to close the gap, Team Liquid won two last rounds, and won the match. forze out of EMEA Stage, Team Liquid will meet Gambit for spot to Berlin.

 

Guild vs. Giants Gaming

 

The second match of the game day turned out to be just awesome, Giants met with Guild. The first map started from equal game, after the first half, the score on Split was 6:6. Guild managed to win the pistol round, which led to the victory in two more rounds, and the score was already 9:6 in their favor. But the Giants were ready for this, first leveling the score in the match, and then finishing off the opponent, winning the first map 13:10.

The second map went similarly. Then Guild will lead 4:0, then Giants will come out ahead and win half of 7:5. Once again, Guild will take the initiative and lead at 12:10. As a result, everything turned into overtime, where Guild snatched the victory with a score of 17:15, and equalized the score in the series.

 

The decisive map also did not go without overtime, where Guild had the opportunity to win the match at 14:12, but allowed the Giants to equalize the score first, and then bring the matter to victory. pipsoN’s wards won Ascent 15:13, knocked out Guild from the tournament. In the match for spot to Berlin, Giants will play against G2 Esports.
